More Vengeance
More Vengeance is a revival and continuation of Vengeance Interval Modifier by Shamus. This mod keeps the original concept alive while updating it for the current Risk of Rain 2 modding ecosystem and adding a few quality-of-life improvements.
Features
- Change how frequently your Vengeance doppelganger invades by setting the interval in seconds via config or console.[file:1]
- Automatically updates the Artifact of Vengeance description (ARTIFACTSHADOWCLONEDESCRIPTION) to match your chosen interval, using R2API Language to override the token.[file:1][web:23]
- Includes an in‑game console command (setvengeanceperiod ) so you can tweak the interval mid‑run without restarting.[file:1]
Configuration
After launching the game once with the mod installed, a config file will be created in your BepInEx/config folder.[file:1]
- Section: Game
- Key: Interval
- Value: Number of seconds between Vengeance invasions.
- Default: 300 seconds (5 minutes).[file:1]
- Lower values mean more frequent, harder invasions.
You can also adjust the interval on the fly with the in‑game console:
setvengeanceperiod
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
