๐ฅ Equipment Activation Mod
๐ง Overview
EquiBoom adds a new item to Risk of Rain 2 that introduces a unique gameplay twist:
a chance to trigger your equipment automatically without consuming its charge.
Perfect for builds centered around high equipment uptime or those that rely on powerful activations.
โ๏ธ How It Works
- ๐ธ Effect: Grants a chance for your equipment to activate on its own.
- ๐น Trigger: Randomly procs during combat or specific item interactions (configurable).
- ๐ธ Charge: Does not consume the equipment charge when triggered this way.
- ๐น Stacking: Each stack increases the activation chance.
- ๐ธ Compatibility: Works with most standard and modded equipment.
(Exact balance values still in testing โ mod is under development.)
๐งฉ Planned Features
- โ๏ธ Configurable proc rate and stacking behavior
- ๐ง Visual and audio cue on automatic activation
- ๐ Synergy settings for other equipment mods
- ๐ Multiplayer sync and balance polish
โ ๏ธ Known Issues
- โ Certain custom equipment may not trigger properly
- โณ Effects may overlap with cooldown reduction items (to be refined)
๐ ๏ธ Installation
- ๐ฆ Install BepInExPack and R2API
- ๐ Drop the.dll file into your Risk of Rain 2/BepInEx/plugins folder
- โถ๏ธ Launch the game

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself โ usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) โ pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game โ the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
