About this mod Author’s original text

DisableKarma

Unlocks the Karma rule on Eclipse difficulty and allows gamer to change the setting.

What This Does

On Eclipse difficulty, the Karma system is normally locked to match your Eclipse level (Eclipse 8 = Karma 8). This mod changes that:

  • Unlocks the Karma rule — you can now freely choose any Karma level (0-8) in the lobby
  • Defaults to 0 — when a run starts, Karma is forced to 0 unless you change it

How to Use

  • Install the mod.
  • Open the lobby and select Eclipse difficulty.
  • Find the Karma rule category and pick the level you want.
  • Start the run.

If you don't touch anything, the run starts with Karma at 0.

Requirements

  • BepInEx (installed automatically by mod managers)
  • Risk of Rain 2 with the Hallowed Concepts DLC

Notes

Built for Risk of Rain 2 version 1.5.0. May need updating after game patches.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
