CurseCatcher

v0.3.2·Updated 2024-09-15

Provide options to prevent Eclipse 8 curse from being applied on self-inflicted damage.

About this mod Author’s original text

Introduction

This one's for all the REX players out there. By default, all it does is prevent Eclipse 8's "permanent curse" debuff from being applied when spending health on ability costs. In addition to the obvious implications for Seed Barrage, Bramble Volley and Tangling Growth, this also affects corrupted Void Fiend's special and Seeker's utility.

However, configuration options are also available for other forms of self-inflicted damage such as friendly fire (e.g. OGM-72 'DIABLO' Strike), fall damage, and interactables like Shrine of Blood. An optional Artifact of Infliction can be enabled in both the Eclipse lobby and other game modes to allow players to easily toggle the above functionality. Only the host needs to have this installed.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
