Artifact of Command — Item Descriptions
A small client-side Risk of Rain 2 mod for r2modman Mod Manager.
While the Artifact of Command is enabled, hover an item in its selection window to see the item's localized name and full description in the game's native side tooltip. The tooltip automatically flips sides near screen edges. Controller and keyboard selection are supported too. Equipment descriptions are also shown when an equipment Command Essence is opened.
Installation
Import the packaged.zip as a local mod in r2modman, or copy CommandItemDescriptions.dll to BepInEx/plugins/CommandItemDescriptions.
For local r2modman testing, install and enable BepInExPack from the Online tab before importing this package. r2modman's local ZIP importer does not run the normal online dependency installation flow.
Only the player who wants to see the descriptions needs the mod.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
