About this mod Author’s original text
RoRRRandomizer
Adds a survivor, skill, and artifact randomizer when you start a game.
New
By launching in multiplayer, you can now type /r in chat to randomize your character at will. Requires ChatConsole.
You can set the mod options via ImGui ("INSERT" key) or by editing ReturnOfModding/config/RoRRRandomizer/cfg.toml.
You can enable/disable skills in the ImGui settings.
You can make a custom build by enabling only 4 skills.
Disclaimer
- I have tried to determine which skills crash the game, and they are disabled by default.
- You can help with testing this by noting down and notifying me of broken skills (the skill id should appear in the console).
- Runs played with this mod are saved under the character that was selected in the lobby, not the random one set by the randomizer.
- This mod does not function properly in multiplayer, it doesn't crash but clients are completely out of sync.
Installation Instructions
- This mod depends on the Return Of Modding loader:
- Download the latest Return Of Modding release and follow the Manual Installation instructions to install it.
- Download this mod and extract it into the ReturnOfModding/plugins folder.
- The mod should now be loaded. Enjoy!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide. If the mod depends on a loader such as ReturnOfModding, install it first as the readme describes.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
