Introduction:

Important: Before version 1.0.2150, you need to make a self-made XML error repair patch. For details on how to make it, please see my collection post or the video below.

Repair patch video tutorial:

Save menu improvements.

Avoid your multiple colony saves being cluttered, autosaves being overwritten,...now just use rimsaves to sort your saves into different folders.

characteristic

Create, rename, delete folders (no subfolders to keep things simple)

Save into folder

Autosave creation to the currently selected folder, so autosaves between colonies in different folders are no longer overwritten

Repeat, rename and save

Batch save and delete (delete parent folder)

important

The folder selected in the Save/Load menu defines where the autosave is created, so if you open the Load menu during a game just to see the contents of another folder, don't forget to re-change the folder you want the autosave to be created in before closing.

FAQ

Will it work with Steam cloud sync?

Yes, it works fine, the folders are available in steam cloud because they are encoded as save name.

What is the "default" folder?

It is the default folder. All saved files are not affected by the folder and cannot be renamed. The "delete" operation performed on it only clears it.

Sometimes autosaves don't get stored in my saves folder

Please read the "Important" section

Is this save compatible (-\u-")?

Apparently yes, it's only relevant to RimWorld's interface, but as I saw this question on RimThemes...

Can this mod be removed without issue after use?

Yes, but it is recommended to move all saved files to the "Default" folder before deleting to avoid "weird" text prefixes on saves.

Save menu improvements.

No more mess with your multiple colonies saves, autosaves overwrites,... now simply organize your saves into folders with RimSaves.

Features

Create, Rename, Delete folders (no subfolders to stay simple)

Put saves into folder

Autosaves created to the current selected folder, so no more autosave overwrite between colonies in different folders

Duplicate, Rename saves

Mass saves removing (remove the parent folder)

Important

The folder selected in the save/load menu define where the autosaves will be created, so if for example during the game you open the load menu just for looking other folders content, dont forget to rechange to the folder you want your autosaves to be created before close.

FAQ

Does it work well with Steam Cloud?

Yes it work well, folders are available across Steam Cloud as they are encoded into save name.

What is the "Default" folder?

It's the default folder where all saves not affected to an folder stay, it cannot be renamed, and the "delete" operation on it just empty it.

Sometimes autosaves are not stored on my save's folder

Please read the "Important" section

Is this save compatible (-_-")?

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
