Sweet Broken Rifle
The Rifle starts to malfunction: every 4-7 shots it spits out a burst of pellets in a wide cone, like a shotgun. Every other shot fires as normal.
About this mod Author’s original text
Sweet Broken Rifle
An add-on for Rifle by
Rangerbb275. Same rifle, except now it malfunctions.
What it does
Every 4-7 shots the rifle fires 5-10 pellets at once in a wide cone, like a
shotgun. Every other shot is the normal one: same 150 damage, same range, same
cooldown the rifle's author set.
The misfire is rolled on the host, but everyone sees it — pellets fly and hit
the same for every player in the lobby.
Configuration
Editable in-game through REPOConfig,
or in BepInEx/config/sweet.brokenrifle.cfg:
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Spread | 65 | Cone angle in degrees, 0 to 65 |
| Shots before misfire, min | 4 | Raise both for rarer misfires |
| Shots before misfire, max | 7 | |
| Pellets per misfire, min | 5 | More pellets, more damage per misfire |
| Pellets per misfire, max | 10 | |
Careful with the pellet count: each pellet deals the rifle's full damage. Ten
pellets at point blank will delete almost any enemy at once.
Installation
This mod does nothing on its own — it needs
Rangerbb275-Rifle
installed. A mod manager will pull it in for you.
About the original mod
No file from the Rifle mod is modified or redistributed, in whole or in part.
This mod only asks the game to change the pellet count and spread for a single
shot, and puts both back the way they were right after that shot.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
