SquiiishyDuck
Replaces every sound the Duck (Apex Predator) makes - quacking, biting, transforming, flying, and more - with a single custom clip.
About this mod Author’s original text
Squiiishy Duck
Gives the Duck (Apex Predator) a single silly custom sound for absolutely
everything it does.
What it does
The Duck normally has a whole set of separate sounds for its various
behaviors — quacking, biting when you grab it, transforming into its angry
form, flying, footsteps, getting hurt, dying, noticing you, and more. This
mod swaps all of them out for one custom audio clip, so no matter what the
Duck is doing, you'll hear the same sound.
No config needed — it just works as soon as it's installed.
How it works
The Duck's animation controller keeps a small pool of possible clips for
each of its sounds and picks one at random when it plays. This mod replaces
every one of those pools with a single-item pool containing the custom
clip, so that "random pick" always lands on the same sound. Nothing else
about the Duck's behavior, health, or AI is touched.
Compatibility
- Doesn't use Harmony and doesn't patch any methods — just swaps out audio
clip references — so it should be compatible with pretty much anything
else.
- Multiplayer note: the swap only happens locally, on the client running
the mod. It doesn't change what's sent over the network, so teammates
without the mod installed will keep hearing the Duck's normal sounds.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
