RepoCheque — Taxman's Cheque
Replaces the surplus money bag that R.E.P.O. drops at the extraction point when you beat
the haul goal with a paper cheque that has the amount printed on it, live.
What it does
🧾 Looks like a cheque
A flat, low-poly card with torn-paper edges, drawn from a plain PNG you can redraw yourself.
💵 Prints the amount
The surplus value is drawn on the cheque in the game's own Teko font, formatted exactly like
every other money readout in R.E.P.O.
👶 Rugrat-proof
The baby that steals and throws valuables completely ignores the cheque. Your surplus is safe.
🛒 Spawns in your cart
Instead of falling from the ceiling and bouncing away, it appears gently inside a nearby cart,
lying flat. If there's no cart it drops low at the extraction point instead — never from above.
🛡️ Indestructible
Drops, explosions, monsters, the green cauldron — the cheque never loses a cent. Paper doesn't
shatter. Impact sounds and particles still play, so it stays physical; it just never loses money.
Everything about the value, the physics, the grabbing and the multiplayer syncing stays
completely vanilla. Only the appearance, the collider shape, the Rugrat's targeting, the
spawn position and the damage immunity are modified — which is why it's low risk.
⚠️ Everyone needs this mod — it is not server-side
This is a client-side mod, so every player in the lobby should install it.
- The cheque's appearance is built independently on each machine. A player without the mod
will still see the vanilla money bag — the value, weight and physics stay identical for
them, so nothing desyncs or breaks; it just looks different on their screen.
- The host's copy is what drives the behaviour: spawning inside the cart, the Rugrat
ignoring it, and the indestructibility are all host-authoritative, exactly as the game
already handles them. If the host doesn't have the mod, those three won't apply to anyone.
Short version: everyone installs it, and make sure the host has it.
Requirements
- BepInEx 5.x
- R.E.P.O. — see Game version below
REPOLib is not required. Most mods need it because it registers new content — custom
valuables, items, enemies, levels. This mod adds no new content: it re-skins an object the game
already spawns. It is listed only as a soft dependency so load order stays sensible if you
happen to have it installed.
Install
With a mod manager: just install it. Nothing else to do.
Manually:
- Make sure BepInEx is installed and has been run at least once.
- Copy the RepoCheque folder from BepInEx/plugins/ in this package into your own
\BepInEx\plugins\ folder.
- You should end up with BepInEx\plugins\RepoCheque\RepoCheque.dll plus the two.png files
beside it. All three are needed.
- Launch the game once to generate the config file.
Make your own cheque
The artwork lives outside the DLL on purpose — swap it any time, no rebuilding.

|---|---|
| Front | cheque.png, or any PNG with front in the filename |
| Back | any PNG with back in the filename (optional) |
| Size | Any. 2.2: 1 looks like a real cheque; the shipped art is 1408 × 640. |
| Shape | The 3D card matches your image's proportions automatically — nothing gets stretched. |
| Transparency | Supported, so ragged/torn paper edges work. |
Leave a blank area where the amount should print, then point TextOffsetU / TextOffsetV at
its centre (0–1, measured from the left and from the bottom).
Config
BepInEx\config\RepoCheque.cfg — edit with Notepad, then restart the game.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
