REPO: The Blackout Nightmare
The contract was supposed to be simple. We were the "Asset Recovery Specialists," a standard salvage crew sent to pick up proprietary hardware from decommissioned facilities. Routine. Low risk. Easy credits. We had done dozens of these runs before, usually wrapping up in an hour and clearing the LZ by lunch.
Three days ago, everything changed. We were halfway through a standard sweep of the lower sub-levels when the primary power grid didn't just fail—it vanished. At the same moment, the exterior airlocks sealed shut. Not a glitch. A lockdown.
When we tried to radio command, the only response was a pre-recorded loop from corporate: "Proceed to deeper levels. High-value data cores remain in Sector 4. Complete the recovery." They didn't acknowledge the power loss. They didn't acknowledge the fact that we were trapped. They didn't even acknowledge the sounds coming from the ventilation shafts.
There’s even a slot machine in the truck—a "morale booster," they called it. At first, it’s generous. It gives you just enough payout to make you feel like you’re winning, like you might actually leave this place with a profit. But it’s a lie. The odds are rigged to slowly bleed you dry, turning your focus away from the flickering lights and the scraping sounds in the walls, making you spend every second you have left staring at digital reels while the quota drags you deeper into the dark.
We aren't here for "data cores." We were sent down here because the Company needs to see what happens when the lights go out. They need to see how long we last before we become part of the facility's inventory. We are no longer specialists. We are bait. And the facility is very, very hungry.
The Situation Report
- Total Darkness: Maintenance crews have lost control of all lighting systems. Flashlights are mandatory.
- Critical Infrastructure: Equipment is failing at alarming rates. Scavenge carefully; what you find must last the entire shift.
- Unknown Entities: Sensory data suggests the facility is currently occupied by unauthorized "mascots" and entities that have no place in a corporate workspace.
- Corrupted Surveillance: The security feeds are compromised. They display a grain that looks like corrupted analog tape, making it difficult to distinguish the living from the dead.
Note for Players:
For the best experience: Ensure your FOV is set to 68 in the configuration and keep your CCTV camera feed resolution at 480x360.
Performance: This pack is highly optimized. If you experience stutters, ensure your Volumetric Lighting is set to "Medium" or "Low."
Good luck. The facility is waiting.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
