About this mod Author’s original text

Lucky Block

Break a Lucky Block and something happens. 44 possible events — loot, weapons, permanent upgrades, monsters, explosions, teleports, quota changes, and pure chaos. Pick a profile to set the mood, or tune every event yourself.

The in-game settings menu — press F6

Everything below can be changed without leaving the game: press F6 for a small settings menu. Changes apply the moment you make them, and the menu never shows a stale number.

  • ↑ / ↓ — navigate (holds to repeat)
  • ← / → — on a slider, adjust the value (or cycle the profile); everywhere else, → opens whatever the row leads to (same as ENTER) and ← goes back a level
  • ENTER — the catch-all: open a submenu, flip a toggle, fire a reset, or go back

You can also use REPOConfig if you prefer — same settings, but REPOConfig only reads a value when its page opens, so after changing something (like the active profile) you need to close and reopen the page to see the new numbers. F6 doesn't have that problem.

Rebind or disable it under Menu / ToggleKey and Menu / Enabled.

Profiles

Choose one with F6 or Profiles → ActiveProfile in the config.

| Profile | What it feels like |

|---|---|

| Default | The original balance — every event on. |

| Chill | Calmer runs. Loot is never moved or scattered, far fewer bombs and monsters, more rewards, no permanent upgrades. |

| Greedy | A loot rush. Lots of valuables, items and weapons; nothing destroys or moves your loot; no quota changes. |

| Cruel | High risk. Monsters and bombs everywhere, loot is scarce, but weapons show up more often. |

| Mayhem | Maximum chaos. Chaotic and Wacky events all the time. |

Picking a profile rewrites every event weight and category weight. Tweak anything you like afterwards.

Your own profiles (up to 15)

  • In ActiveProfile, pick an empty Custom 1 through Custom 15 slot first — this decides where changes go.
  • Tune the general settings, category weights, and event weights the way you want.
  • That's it — a Custom slot saves itself automatically, a moment after you stop adjusting. No save button.

Your profile now has real content under that Custom slot. The files live in BepInEx/config/LuckyBlock/Profiles/ if you want to share them. A built-in preset (Default, Chill, Greedy, Cruel, Mayhem) is never overwritten this way — tweaking one while it's active just changes what's live right now; switch away and back to restore its shipped values.

Every profile carries its own copy of everything: not just event and category weights, but also the general settings (spawning on/off, edition, block density, max spawn distance, teleport value loss). A "pure chaos" Custom profile can run block density at 1000% while your Default profile stays at a calm 30% — they don't affect each other.

Want a clean slate instead of tuning by hand? The Events menu has a Reset ALL event weights to 0 button, and every category's event list has its own Reset [Category] to 0. These work on any profile, including built-ins — the menu always shows a reminder underneath that resetting zeroes weights (it does not restore a profile's original numbers) and, on a Custom slot, saves immediately with no undo.

If you prefer REPOConfig, it has its own SaveCurrentAsProfile toggle that does the same save — turn it on, it saves to whatever Custom slot ActiveProfile is set to, then switches itself back off. This is different from REPOConfig's own "Save Changes" button, which just keeps whatever you typed without filing it under a profile name.

Settings at a glance

The settings are grouped so the important stuff comes first:

  • Profiles — the preset selector, right where general settings live too (see below).
  • Menu — F6 itself: on/off and which key opens it.
  • General — edition, master on/off, how many blocks spawn, how far from the truck they may spawn, how much value moved loot loses. Part of the active profile, not global.
  • Category Weights — one multiplier per category. Want fewer chaotic events? Move Chaotic down. 1 = normal, 0

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
