About this mod Author’s original text
Remove Horror
Accessibility and QoL mod for horror-phobic players to still enjoy the game with their friends.
This mod gives you options to manipulate lighting, audio, and enemy appearance.
Features
- Client Only: Using this won't affect others
- Bright Lighting: Play like it's daytime. Toggle between Fullbright and a 3D-preserving "Light Follows You" mode
- Increased View Distance: See enemies before they see you
- Removed Horror Enemy Textures: Replace them with flat colors (default gray - HTML color code accepted)
- Removed Horror Audio: Occasional ambience music and when you see enemies. _(Horror ambience played on a 60-120s cooldown, not when enemies spawn, so you're not missing out.)_
- Performant: 0-1 FPS impact on my machine
- Global On/Off Toggle Hotkey: Press X by default to enable/disable everything. This is configurable
- Configurable: Turn on only the features you need

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
