About this mod Author’s original text
Musical Shotgun
Modifies the shotgun (and all other weapons if desired) to play a sound cue when they're being handled improperly.
Client side only, multiplayer compatible.
Configuration:
SoundFilename
default: audio.mp3
File name of the audio file to play, in the same directory as the mod's.dll file. ONLY.MP3 FILES ARE SUPPORTED
ShotgunOnly
default: true
Should this mod affect all weapons, or just the shotgun? If false, this patches all weapons with the ItemGun component, so \*\**IN THEORY\\* modded weapons as well.
AudioStartThreshold
default: 0.00
How far away weapon needs to turned (between 0.00 = facing foward and 1.00 = facing player) for the audio to start playing. To figure out what value you want the range to be, check VOL in additional debug logging.
AdditionalDebugLogging
default: false
Enables sending additional messages in the console. These are sent every frame a player is holding a weapon. Format is:
DIFF: {X}, VOL: {Y}, PLAYER: {Z}, PLAYING {U}
| Variable | Explanation
| - | ----
| X | The difference in euler angles between the weapon and player camera.
| Y | 1 - ( ( X - 180 ) / 180 )
| Z | The angle of the camera the last player holding the weapon
| U | True if audio is playing. False if not.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
