Put the dead head into the extraction point and automatically resurrect it
HellRevival is an extraction point resurrection mod. After the host is installed, when the dead player's head enters the extraction point, it will be automatically resurrected through the original resurrection process of the game, and multiplayer mode is supported.
By default:
- Players without REPOFidelity risk: Instant resurrection after entering extraction point.
- Players who detect the risk of REPOFidelity: wait for a short period of time for a stable state and then automatically resurrect to be compatible with resurrection mod conflicts.
- The HP after resurrection defaults to 20 and can be modified in the configuration.
In multiplayer games, the host is responsible for the actual resurrection and synchronizing it to other players via the game's native ReviveRPC. HellRevival does not add a custom resurrection RPC.
Multi-person installation suggestions
- For general multi-player use, and players do not have REPOFidelity installed, usually the host only needs to install HellRevival.
- If non-host players have installed REPOFidelity themselves, it is recommended to also install HellRevival, which is used to report risk status to the host and perform local compatibility protection after the machine receives resurrection synchronization.
- If a client with REPOFidelity does not have this mod installed, the host can still resurrect the player, but will not be able to fully handle the client's native camera or death camera state remotely.
Main configuration
- Enable Automatic Revive: Enable automatic resurrection at the extraction point, enabled by default.
- Revive Health: HP after resurrection, default 20. When set to 1, it is the same as the original extraction point’s resurrection HP.
Automatically Revive by Placing a Dead Player's Head in the Extraction Point
HellRevival is an extraction-point revive mod. When the host has it installed, a dead player's head entering the extraction point automatically revives that player through the game's vanilla revive flow, including in multiplayer.
By default:
- Players without REPOFidelity risk revive instantly after entering the extraction point.
- Players with detected REPOFidelity risk wait briefly for a stable state before reviving, for compatibility with revive-mod conflict issues.
- Revive health defaults to 20 and can be changed in the config.
In multiplayer, the host performs the actual revive and syncs it to other players through the vanilla ReviveRPC. HellRevival does not add a custom revive RPC.
Multiplayer Install Guidance
- For normal multiplayer use, when players do not use REPOFidelity, the host installing HellRevival is usually enough.
- If a non-host player has REPOFidelity installed, that player should also install HellRevival so they can report their risk state to the host and run local compatibility protection after receiving the revive sync.
- If a REPOFidelity client does not install this mod, the host can still revive that player, but cannot fully handle that client's local camera or death-view state remotely.
Main Config
- Enable Automatic Revive: enables extraction-point automatic revive. Default: on.
- Revive Health: health after revive. Default: 20. Set it to 1 to match the vanilla extraction-point revive health.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
