Haelnak the Necromancer
Something robed drifts through the dark, and it doesn't let the dead rest. Fall to it and you may get up again. Just not as yourself.
About this mod Author’s original text
Haelnak the Necromancer
Something tall and hooded glides through the level, a hand's breadth off the floor. You'll hear it before you see
it: a low hum, cloth dragging, a voice muttering to itself in the dark.
It doesn't need to come close. It would rather watch you from across the room and take what it wants from there.
And when it takes everything, it isn't finished with you. Your body has other plans.
Found taped inside the truck
It doesn't hurry. It doesn't have to. When its hand comes up green the air goes thin and the warmth starts leaving
you for it, though it can't drink what it can't see. The dark it throws is slow; it never feels slow. It flinches when
you hurt it, not for long. We heard it chanting over Dex and nobody stopped it. Dex got up and walked off, and when we
saw him again he had his face back, sat on his shoulders like it had never left. Mira took hold of it and pulled. What
came away was still Dex. What fell down wasn't. It walks the halls watching the floor now, so we don't leave anything
lying around, not anything that used to be one of us. And when we brought Dex back properly, the other one just came
apart.
Everyone in the lobby needs the mod, on the same version. Needs REPOLib.
Config
Most things can be adjusted in BepInEx/config/41636865726f6e.Necromancer.cfg. The host's settings count.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
