Gynxz: RepoChallenges

Assign gameplay challenges to yourself or to other players in your lobby (they need the mod too, same version). The impact-based challenges (Nitro Fingers, Flawless, Empathetic) work for everyone in the lobby, not just the host.

⭐ **NEW in 1.5.0 — our first beneficial challenge: Better Together! Not every challenge has to hurt. Stick close to your live teammates and you all get stronger — speed, extra jumps, stamina, grip and damage reduction that scale with how many friends are nearby. Teamwork, rewarded.

Challenges (15)

| Cart Leash | Stay near the cart or you're slowed, then stopped. |

| Flawless Items | Any valuable you damage while holding it is destroyed. |

| Frugal** | Only grab items worth less than the threshold. |

| Expensive Only | Only grab items worth more than the threshold. |

| Pacifist | No grabbing weapons. |

| Empathetic | Damage a held valuable and you take damage too. |

| Nitro Fingers | Damage a held valuable and it explodes. |

| T-Rex | Grab range is drastically reduced. |

| ⭐ Better Together | (beneficial!) Buffs that scale with the number of live teammates near you — speed, extra jumps, stamina, grip and damage reduction. |

Choosing challenges (NEW — multiple challenges at once)

Open the in-game mod settings menu (installed automatically via REPOConfig) and find

Gynxz: RepoChallenges → 5 - Challenge Roster. Every challenge has a three-way setting:

| Active | Always enforced. Set multiple challenges to Active and they all run at the same time. |

| Available | Goes into the F8 rotation (see below). Not enforced until F8 picks it. |

| Off | Disabled — not enforced and not in the rotation. |

Rules:

• You can have as many Active challenges as you want running together.
• Setting anything to Active disables F8 (you're in "fixed rules" mode).
• Changes apply live when you edit them in the F1 overlay — no restart needed.

The settings menu is provided by REPOConfig, which installs automatically with this mod.

You can also edit BepInEx/config/com.gynxz.repochallenges.cfg directly and relaunch.

How to use

Debug keys (default):

• F8 — cycle to the next Available challenge (one at a time). Tip: set the challenges you want in the rotation to Available first, or F8 has nothing to cycle. F8 is disabled while any challenge is set to Active.
• F9 — clear the F8 rotation pick (your Active challenges stay).

Manual Assign panel: the 3 - Manual Assign config section lets you pick a challenge from a

dropdown and apply it right from the menu — to yourself or to another player in the lobby.

Performance / tuning

The mod runs its background work (the Better Together proximity scan and the command-file poll)

on a timer you control: 1 - Challenges → CheckInterval (0.5–5 seconds, default 0.5).

If you notice frame drops, stutters, or any network hitches/disconnects, raise this (e.g. 1–2

seconds) to lighten the load. Higher = smoother but slightly less responsive.

Bot / file bridge

You can drive the mod from any tool that can write a text file — a chat bot, a stream

integration, a macro program, even a hand-edited.txt. All it needs to do is write a command

into a file. Streamer.bot is what I use and recommend (it makes wiring

this up to Twitch/YouTube chat easy), but it is not required — anything that writes the file works.

The mod watches challenge_cmd.txt in your profile folder (next to the BepInEx folder).
