BUTTERFLY

Ada uses pesetas and tactical intelligence to purchase and upgrade six combat skills, and can unlock the corresponding ultimate strengthening effects. This module has been designed for compatibility and can be used with most difficult large-scale modified modules of "A Different Path to Fate", such as "Rippled Heart·Extreme Edition" and "Valkyrie".

Added a combat upgrade system based on peseta and tactical intelligence for Ada/Destiny.

A lightweight REFramework Lua Mod focused on low ammo pressure, tactical resource conversion, stealth bursts, delayed recovery, and high-risk morphs.

1. Please read before installation

BUTTERFLY will significantly change the game balance of "Destiny".

This Mod is not suitable for the normal vanilla process.

It is recommended to use it with Mods of extremely high difficulty, high enemy density, survival pressure, or major combat modifications.

Support: A different path against fate.

Not supported: Main story mode.

Only one BUTTERFLY version can be enabled at a time.

This mod currently only supports older versions of the game. If your game has been updated, please refer to the downgrading tutorial first.

If you find that some skills cannot take effect, you can try downloading dinput8.dll from Optional Files and overwriting the current dinput8.dll.

This method is not guaranteed to fix the problem and is still under testing.

Please be sure to back up your original dinput8.dll in advance! Otherwise, unexpected problems may occur!

2. Which version should be used?

Recommended for most players: Fast version

• BUTTERFLY English Fast
• BUTTERFLY Chinese Fast

The Fast version removes the heavy archive detection path to try to avoid the 2-3 second lag problem reported by some players.

If you use the Fast version:

• Please try to buy upgrades near the typewriter.
• Please save the game manually after purchasing the upgrade.
• Use the Force-save current upgrades to profile button in the Mod menu if necessary.

Standard version:

• BUTTERFLY English
• BUTTERFLY Chinese

The Standard version includes DLC archive detection and automatic archive-aware configuration submission, which provides more complete rollback protection, but may cause periodic freezes on some systems.

If you experience lag every 2-3 seconds after purchasing the upgrade, switch to the Fast version.

3. What did BUTTERFLY do?

BUTTERFLY has added a complete in-game combat upgrade system for Ada in "Against Fate".

Use towers of pesetas and tactical intelligence to purchase combat skills, unlock ultimate transformations, and build Ada into a faster, sharper, and more dangerous survivor along the way.

Simply put:

• Take advantage of low ammo status to trigger speed, damage and ammo economy gains.
• Obtain tactical intelligence by firing and use it to offset the cost of subsequent skill upgrades.
• Upgrade 6 different combat systems by consuming pesetas and tactical intelligence.
• Unlock the ultimate transformation after reaching skill level 5.
• Get burst damage, stealth windows, delayed healing, ammo-free status, and high-risk transformation tools.
• Manage skills, slots, HUD, save status and shortcuts with a custom in-game UI.

There is no need for a large PAK or resource replacement, and the gameplay system is only implemented through lightweight REFramework Lua scripts.

4. Core combat system

BUTTERFLY doesn't just make Ada stronger.

It is about transforming stress, scarcity, stealth and sacrifice into power.

Light as a swallow

The less ammo Ada has loaded into her backpack, the faster and more dangerous she becomes.

Tactical Intelligence

Every shot fired can be converted into intelligence. Tactical intelligence can be used to offset subsequent skill upgrade costs.

Shadow execution

Each bullet has a small chance of turning into a finishing blow, briefly pushing the damage to extremely high levels.
