Re:Legend - Quality of Life (QoL)

A collection of essential quality-of-life improvements designed to make your Re:Legend experience smoother, faster, and more enjoyable.

📋 Features

• Better Inventory Sorting: Replaces the game's sort with a stable one, so sorting an already-sorted bag no longer reshuffles it. Six presets (Type/Rarity, Materials First, Rarity First, Alphabetical, Value, Quantity). Works on backpack and chest across all storage pages.
• Sort Buttons: Added to both the backpack and storage headers. Right-click a sort button to cycle presets instantly.
• Sell From Right-Click: Adds a Sell entry to the item menu, reusing the game's own quantity slider. Prices match the shipping bin, including enhancement value on gear.
• Belt Scrolling: Ctrl + mouse wheel cycles the tool belt, skipping empty slots.
• Auto Loot: Dropped items come to you as you walk past, with a configurable rarity filter.
• Auto Tool Select: Hold attack near a tree or rock and the required tool is equipped automatically, then stowed when there's nothing left to gather.
• Quick Transfer: Shift + left click moves a stack between backpack and tool belt, or backpack and chest.
• Seed Information: Seed tooltips show grow days, whether the crop regrows, yield range, season and watering needs.
• Faster Dialogue: Adjustable NPC text speed, up to 20x vanilla.
• Attack Facing: Attacks fire toward your cursor instead of your last movement direction.
• Minimap Markers: Colour-coded markers for shops and service NPCs.
• Mods Menu: A MODS entry on the main menu listing every installed mod with its icon and description, plus a settings pane that can toggle any mod's on/off options — not just this one's.

⚙️ Configuration

This mod includes a configurable cfg file. You can find it at:

BepInEx/config/com.community.relegend.qol.cfg

Most settings can also be changed in-game from the MODS menu (or press F10). Every feature has an Enabled key, so anything you dislike can be switched off individually.

Note: BepInEx keeps values already written to that file, so defaults changed in a new release won't reach you automatically. Delete the config file to pick up new defaults.

📦 Installation

• Install BepInEx Mod Manager or manually.
• Download this mod Mod Manager, or extract the ZIP file into your BepInEx/plugins folder.
• Launch the game. Changes should apply immediately.

Requires BepInEx 5.4.x or newer. BepInEx 5.0 cannot load any plugin in this game — its bundled Harmony crashes the preloader on this Unity profile.

🐛 Known Issues

• Multiplayer is untested. Auto loot disables itself in multiplayer sessions to avoid duplicating loot for other players; other features are unvalidated in co-op.
• Farm debris is excluded from auto loot on purpose. Collecting it that way leaves the tile's saved record behind and the debris reappears when the area reloads. Gather it by hand.
• Controller navigation for the added buttons may point at the wrong neighbours. Mouse and keyboard are unaffected.
• Button positions were tuned at 1920x1080 and may need nudging at other resolutions — see SortButton/GapFromGold and ModsTab/Placement.
• The mods menu shows on/off toggles only, not sliders.

📝 Changelog

v0.13.0

• Attacks now aim along the camera while right mouse is held. Previously the orbit freeze also blocked aiming, so shooting mid-orbit fired along whatever direction the body was left in.

v0.12.3

• Fixed tool duplication. Auto-loot was collecting the player's own equipped tool models, which carry a disabled ItemDrop component, and adding them to the inventory as real items. It now checks that component is enabled, as the game's own loot-all does, and ignores anything parented under the player.
