Allow players to use NPC exclusive scenes, introduce rest mechanism and other functions

Zen

🌟Mod Overview

This is a completely improved version of the immersive scene mod. This version is more refined and less distracting, with fewer prompts and an emphasis on rest scene functionality.

---

🪑 Fixed scene use

Just like in the original immersive scene, you can:

  • Sitting on chairs, benches, steps and windowsills
  • Leaning on fences, railings and walls
  • Sleep on beds, floors and bedding
  • Pick up and play an instrument
  • Use a bucket filled with water to clean yourself
  • Play the piano

---

🎮 Use of dynamic scenes

With this mod, you can switch scenes at any time. When you are seated (can be any chair/bench, except a table), pressing the key will bring up a list of available scenes. After selecting the prompt, the character will begin executing the scenario. Currently available scenarios include:

  • Smoking (cigars or cigarettes)
  • Play an instrument (guitar, harmonica, banjo, accordion)
  • whittling wood
  • Clean firearms
  • Clean hat
  • Clean boots

*The default key setting is **Y**, but you can customize the settings in the ini file. Press **X** or **Triangle** when using the controller. *

*Prompts appear when you sit and press keys*

*All scenes can be performed from any seat, including playing instruments*

*You can also start drinking or smoking while leaning on the railing*

---

⚡ Effect system

Use scenarios to trigger different effects:

  • Cleaning a gun will fill up the durability bar
  • Sitting/leaning will slowly restore the physical core
  • Washing yourself will remove all dirt and blood

---

😴 Sleep System

You can sleep on bedding, beds, and the floor. When sleeping, press the button to select the sleep duration:

  • Sleep for 2 hours: Restore all cores
  • 4 hours of sleep: Restores all cores and strengthens the stamina core
  • 6 hours of sleep: Restore and strengthen all cores

Time will advance in real time while sleeping. I can only sleep a maximum of 6 hours in a short period of time.

---

🐎 Cleaner horses (optional feature)

This feature can be enabled in the ini file. Your horse will become less prone to soiling: dirt will be concentrated on the legs and underbelly, making it more realistic.

---

🎵 No battle music (optional feature)

Combat music will not play during gunfights, melee combat, or when wanted, aiming to provide a greater sense of immersion.

---

🔧 Compatibility

**Immersive Scenarios**: Since this is an overhaul of the mod and edits many of the same files, it is not compatible. You can overwrite it with files from this mod, but it's not guaranteed to work properly. **It is highly recommended to use this mod and remove the immersive scene** as most of its features are already included.

**Serenity**: No conflict, the same keys can be used in both mods.

**Seats**: No conflict.

🌍 Translation support

All prompts can be translated into other languages. To translate, open the prompts.gxt2 file and replace the text on the right.

📦 Installation instructions

Place Zen.asi and Zen.ini into the game directory and the Zen folder into the lml folder.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
