🐾 Features
You can finally build a deep bond with wild animals in Red Dead Redemption 2! This mod allows you to tame a variety of wild animals and make them your loyal adventure companions.
⚠️ Important reminder
This mod will modify the metapeds.ymt file. If other mods that modify this file are used at the same time, it may cause the character model to display abnormally. It is recommended to only use this mod or merge files manually.
🎮 How to use
Requires use with Dog Companion mod. Find the animal you choose to merge with in the game, or use the Rampage Trainer to spawn the corresponding creature and build a bond through petting interactions. Once a bond is established, your partner will reappear every time you load the game.
🐺 Animal behavior adjustment
- Large wolves will no longer attack players and will remain calm in the wild
- Small and medium sized wolves remain aggressive
- There may be mold wear when petting animals
- Large animals (bears, crocodiles, elk, etc.) are more difficult to interact with due to their size, but bonds can still be established
🔧 Installation instructions
You need to install Lenny's Mod Loader first, and then put the mod file into the lml folder.
🦁 Extras
The module also includes more tamable animals such as lions, rabbits, raccoons, and snakes, making your adventure team more colorful!
💫 Optional features
Added wolf fighting style to cougars and panthers (more ferocious), and fox fighting style to cats and boars (previously unable to bite, now able).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
