Speech Lines Testing Tool
🎤 Function Overview
This is a tool specifically designed to let NPCs speak voice lines. It is especially suitable for use when looking for specific NPC dialogue lines (mainly used for module development).
⚙️ Installation steps
- Download and install the Script Hook and Asi Loader of your choice
- Drag and drop the files into the game directory (SpeechLinesTester.asi, SpeechLinesTester.ini, SpeechLines.txt)
- Start the game
🔧 How it works
The mod will read the voice line names from the "SpeechLines.txt" file and force NPCs around the player to play the first line.
Using hotkeys you can cycle through all lines in the file (hotkeys and other settings can be modified in the "SpeechLinesTester.ini" file).
The screen also displays the name of the currently playing line.

💡 Development background
HJ and fitfondue needed this tool while making PDO and finally found the time to tidy it up a bit. Maybe others can benefit from this too.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
