🌵 Cactus Revenge Function
Let all cacti take their toll on you and your horse! The amount of damage depends on how fast you move - the faster you run, the more serious the damage!
There are 4 types of cacti in the RDR2 world:
- **Flat Cactus** (Prickly Pear)
- **Column Cactus** (Saguaro)
- **Joshua Tree** (does no damage)
- **Jorah Cactus** (Causes huge instant damage + continuous damage effect)
⚠️ **Special Note**: Watch out for cacti in the Heartlands area!
🌿 Bush tripping function
Want a more immersive experience? Now you might trip while walking through the bushes, and... you might get eaten by a crocodile!
Thick bushes, grass, or even random clumps of vegetation can throw you off - especially if you go too fast!
⚙️ Custom settings
This mod is very flexible:
- Can be turned on/off for tasks individually
- Level 3 injury severity adjustment
- Adjustable trip chance
- Jorah Cactus effect can be turned off
🐛 Known issues
- Cactus size is not considered: even a small cactus can cause huge damage
- If the cactus is destroyed (e.g. shot with a sniper rifle), no damage will be dealt on collision
- Sometimes characters/horses don't scream when they collide with cactus
- Occasionally the tripping animation looks unnatural

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
