Unlimited Hitchhiking (Open Source Version)
🚀 **Tired of coachmen kicking you off at the nearest town? ** This simple but practical module allows you to hang on the carriage forever and enjoy a free journey to the West!
✨ Core Functions
- **Unlimited Mounting**: As long as you find a suitable carriage, you can always hang on it, and the coachman will not drive you away again.
- **Immersive Travel**: Like a true Western nomad, hitch a ride and enjoy the scenery along the way at your leisure.
- **Open Source and Free**: The module code is completely open source, and community contributions and improvements are welcome.
🎯 Working principle and limitations
Please note that this mod only works in specific scenarios:
- **Roaming carriages only**: The function is only valid for carriages roaming in the wild and supporting the "anchor" action.
- **Non-driver side**: You can only hang on the **non-driver side** (passenger side) of the carriage.
- **Not applicable**: carriages requested through quests or dialogue, and carriages that are too small to dock.
⚙️ Module dependencies
This mod is developed based on **AB's Scripthook SDK**, which is the basic framework for many Red Dead Redemption 2 mods. Please make sure you have installed the necessary runtime libraries before use.
💡 Usage suggestions
Find a freight carriage on the way in the vast west, quietly jump on it and hang it on the side! This is a great way to quickly travel across the map while keeping a low profile (and saving money). Ideal for players who enjoy role-playing and immersive experiences.

**Developer Note**: After many of the mod features I developed for new versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 unfortunately expired and were abandoned, this one of my favorite features has been retained. Now I share it with you as an open source project, I hope you like it!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
