Restore the coat color of the deleted horses
🐎Module introduction
This mod is specifically designed to restore some of the deleted horse coat colors left in the "Red Dead Redemption 2" game files! Although there isn't much left in the file, I did manage to find some rare deleted content.
✨ Contains horse list
- **John's Original Silver Bay Thoroughbred**: only appears in corpse form in Chapter 1, and also has a significantly slimmer version
- **Censored Spotted White Arabian Horse Color**
- **Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfblood**: Many people speculate that this was originally Arthur's Boadicea
- **Oatmeal Sorrel Breton Horse**: Was supposed to appear as a corpse in the Owlhoot Family quest, but does not actually appear in the quest
- **Scarred Spotted Black and Chestnut American Standardbred**: Although the coat color was not completely restored (still retaining some scarring), modifications have been made to make the horse look better
⚙️ Installation and use
Place the .ymt file into the lml > stream folder to install! If you want to replace another horse, just rename the .ymt file to the name of the horse you want to replace.
💡 Warm reminder
If you want a partially truncated standard horse, you can find the relevant mod here, I didn't include this because I didn't want to re-upload the exact same mod on .

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
