Talk to Strangers - Red Dead Redemption 2 Voice Input
🎤 **Now you can actually talk to strangers! **
✨ Feature Highlights
- **Voice Driven Interaction**: 🎙️ Just speak into the microphone and your words will automatically be converted into in-game greetings, robberies or provocative actions.
- **Intelligent Contextual Recognition**: 🧠 The script analyzes the content of your voice and selects (in most cases) the most appropriate in-game response based on the context.
- **Smooth and continuous dialogue**: 🔄 In version 1.2/1.3, more continuous and smooth voice input is achieved, and you no longer need to release the keys frequently.
- **Intelligent anti-accidental touch**: 🛡️ Pressing any facial buttons, interaction keys or launching an attack will interrupt the voice input, preventing the module from sending commands when it should not be triggered.
🎮 How to use
- **Start Script**: Run this Python script in the background or on a second monitor.
- **Lock target**: Use the controller to hold down the **L2/LT** key, or use the keyboard and mouse to hold down the **right mouse button** to lock an NPC.
- **Start Talking**: 🎤 Say what you want to say into the microphone.
- **Automatic execution**: When you stop speaking (no microphone input) but still hold down the keys, the script will convert the speech to text and quickly execute the corresponding in-game interaction.
⚙️ Installation Guide
This is a Python script and installation is not complicated.
**Note to controller/pad users**: You need to install this driver first:
**Main installation steps**:
- **Install Python**: Download and install Python 3.13.0 (or higher compatible version). In the installer, it is recommended to check "Add Python to PATH".
- **Install dependent libraries**: Open the command prompt (Win+R, enter `cmd`), paste and run the following command:
`pip install sounddevice vosk pynput vgamepad tqdm XInput numpy requests`
This is equivalent to installing the necessary "mods" for Python.
- **Run the script**: Double-click the `RedDeadVoiceInput.py` file downloaded from this site, or right-click and select "Run with Python".
If all goes well, a black window will pop up indicating that the script is running!
**Alternate running method (if above doesn't work)**:
- Open a command prompt.
- Type `cd` (with a space) and then paste the address of the directory where you saved the `RedDeadVoiceInput.py` file.
- Press Enter to enter the directory.
- Enter `python RedDeadVoiceInput.py` and run.
🤝 Best partner
In order to make the "Conversation with Strangers" experience better, **it is highly recommended to use this "Silent Protagonist" module**:
It prevents Arthur from automatically speaking preset dialogue, allowing your voice input to completely dominate the interaction.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
