Switch
🎮 **Lightweight Mod Management Tool** - Easily switch between online mode and story mode!
✨ Features
- **Online.bat** - Creates a temporary folder and moves all non-original files from the root directory to the temporary folder
- **Offline.bat** - moves all files in the temporary folder back to the root directory and deletes the temporary folder
- **Switch.bat** - Automatically detect the status of temporary folders and intelligently run Online or Offline batch processing
📦 Installation Guide
- Unzip the zip file and drag and drop the "krammesting" folder to the game root directory
- Obtain ownership permissions of the root directory folder
- Done! Ready to use
🖼️ Usage example
🔒 Permission settings
In order to ensure that the batch file works properly, the correct folder permissions need to be set:
- Right click on the root folder → Properties
- Select Security tab → Edit
- Select authenticated user → Allow full control
🎯 How it works
After running Online.bat, a folder named rdr2tempmodfolder will be created and all non-original files will be moved here.
When you want to play story mode again with the mod, just run Offline.bat and all files in the rdr2tempmodfolder will be moved back to the root directory.
Switch.bat will automatically detect whether the rdr2tempmodfolder folder exists. If it exists, it will run Offline.bat. If it does not exist, it will run Online.bat.
---
💡 **IMPORTANT NOTE**: Only the root directory needs to be cleared of non-original files to safely play online mode. The mod folder in the root directory will not affect online games.
This tool was originally made for personal use, hoping to provide other players with an easy way to manage mods and enjoy a different experience in online and offline modes!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
