Traveling around the world with a cigarette in hand.

Enjoy the freedom to walk, cycle and relax with a cigarette in hand and shoot some O'Driscolls with a cigarette in your mouth.

From chopping firewood to sharing stories over a leisurely smoke around the fire, you can do it all. Additionally, you can access customizable menus to enter different scenarios. In most cases you can get in, get out and start smoking. Compatible with seat mods.

How to play:

• The button for cigarettes is N and the button for cigars is I.
• Quick smoking: Click the button to smoke quickly.
• Long-lasting smoking: Press and hold the button to start long-lasting smoking.
• Move the cigarette to your mouth: Press and hold the button while smoking to move the cigarette to your mouth and free your hands. This way you can carry carcasses, shoot, hunt, grill, do housework, and more.
• Hold the cigarette in your hand: Press and hold the button when the cigarette is in your mouth and take the cigarette back into your hand.
• Throw away cigarettes: Press the button to throw away cigarettes while smoking.
• Open the scene menu: Press and hold Y to open the menu, which includes scenes such as sitting on the ground and leaning on things.
• Interact with the world. You can talk to NPCs, ride horses, do chores, and more.

When smoking, dead eyes slowly heal over time. This can be useful in gunfights. If you hold a cigarette in your hand, you'll get more dead eyes.

Drawing a gun automatically puts a cigarette in your mouth before you draw it. This is configurable

If you pulled out a gun and tried to start smoking, you would quickly light a cigarette with your free hand and put it in your mouth.

Notice:

The scenes menu includes a submenu that contains regular smoking scenes that are not relevant to my mod. These are just scenes built into the game, I included them because the animations are great. Unfortunately, like any other scenario, you can't move in it and you'll drop your cigarette after exiting.

Customizability:

You can customize the mod's buttons and behavior.

I provide you a way to add different scenes to the menu in the configuration file. When you press the scene key, up to 7 scenes can be displayed.

Known limitations:

Scenes using other props, such as newspapers, don't work well. To avoid this, you can put a cigarette in their mouth for them.

Starting a run while lighting a cigarette will cancel the cigarette lighting animation.

Lighting a cigarette on a horse sometimes skips animations because it is currently playing a different animation. (petting the horse, putting on the leather harness)

Support handle:

Support is slightly limited. You will no longer be able to start smoking during Poker and other mini-games. Hold the cigarette in your mouth before sitting down.

To start smoking (easy instructions): press the satchel button (without holding it) and use RB. A prompt will appear to display the scene, but do not open it (do not press DPad Up). When it says "Show Scene" you can hold RB to control smoking. It behaves the same as pressing or holding N on the keyboard.

To open the scene menu, just press the button in the prompt, DPad up.

Install

Requires Alexander Blade's ScriptHookRDR2! Requires the online content unlocking MOD (already placed in the compressed package) or the version.dll of the RDR 2 Asi Loader from LMS.

• Place SmokingComplete.asi and SmokingComplete.ini into the game folder.

Updates and Support:

This mod was built from the ground up, it has no restored content. The amount of work required to get it to an acceptable level is insane.

The v2.0 update includes cigar smoking, but it's still not perfect and probably never will be. I'm not happy with the quality of that part of the mod, but it's pretty demanding.
