Metal Detector in SP
✨ **Bringing online metal detectors to story mode! ** ✨
This mod perfectly transplants the metal detector mechanism in "Red Dead Online" to the story mode and makes some optimization adjustments.
---
🎮 Features
- **Real detection experience**: When there are collectible items nearby, the metal detector will start flashing and making a sound prompt
- **Dynamic Generation System**: The module will generate multiple collection points around you, which will refresh as you move in different areas.
- **Rich collections**: You can find a variety of precious items such as jewelry, money bags, ammunition, gold bars, etc.
- **Smart Prompt**: The notification function when approaching collectibles is turned on by default, so there is no need to equip the detector all the time.
⚙️ How to use
- First you need to have a metal detector: if Red Dead Offline is installed, you can buy it on the black market
- After equipping the metal detector, it will start prompting when there are collectibles nearby.
- Prompts will become more and more frequent when approaching an object.
- When you are close enough, a "dig" prompt will appear. Follow the prompts to collect items.
🔧 Differences from the original version
- The detector sounds different
- The current digging animation is relatively simple and does not include shovel animation for the time being (it may be added in the future)
📝 Notes
- To exit inspection mode after collecting items, you need to press the F key
- Requires ScriptHook and asi loader to be installed
- Requires online content unlocker (version.dll or similar)
- Recommended to be used with Red Dead Offline mod

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
