NetherLexis' shining hell 🌌
✨ Module introduction
Have you ever looked up at the stars in RDR2 and thought: "Damn, that's it? Just a few dots?" Yes, we all do. That's why NetherLexis' Shining Hell (increases the intensity and density of stars and galaxies) exists.
This mod takes starry sky and galaxy effects to a level beyond Rockstar's "Low Effort Skybox". expect:
🌟 Main functions
- **Crazy Star Density** - The night sky feels full of life, no longer empty
- **Galaxy light enhanced to the extreme** - Real galaxy background, no longer a blurry stain
- **No more dark nights** - You can see the stars without running into trees like a blind person
- **Only modify visualsettings.dat** - Lightweight, won't affect your weather or time periods
Think of it as an enhanced version of RDR2 Night Sky. The result: serene, beautiful, and maybe a little shocking if you stare at it for too long.
Or as I put it:
**"Twinkle twinkle big star, now you shine like hell from afar."**
🛠️ DIY shine adjustment (aka how to make the sky listen to your command)
Want to adjust the star effect yourself? It's easy, just follow these steps:
1. Open the sacred scroll
- Go to your mod folder → Open `visualsettings.dat` with Notepad++ (or Notepad if you have masochistic tendencies)
2. Find the magic parameters
Look for these parameters:
- stars.sparse.intensity
- stars.sparse.intensityGalaxy
- stars.dense.intensity
- stars.dense.intensityGalaxy
These are the control knobs that make the stars shine.
3. Adjust intensity
- Want **more stars**? Increase the value (eg: `stars.sparse.intensityGalaxy 60.0` → increase to 100.0, if you want God himself to complain about light pollution)
- Want a **subtle romantic vibe**? Turn it down until it's barely visible
4. Other interesting parameters
- `stars.constellations.size` → The thickness of the constellations
- `stars.rotationRate` → night sky rotation speed
- `stars.blinkGain.mult` → Make stars blink like they just drank an energy drink
5. Save and reload
Select File → Save in Notepad++, then close the game (if it's not already closed) and reopen it

*Enjoy this beautiful, enhanced night sky! * 🌠
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
