🎮 Module Introduction

This is an ASI plug-in designed for "Red Dead Redemption 2". It is transplanted from the famous **ScriptHookVDotNet** and is based on the C++ ScriptHook core developed by **Alexander Blade**. Its core function is to allow players and developers to run scripts written in any **.NET language** (such as C#, VB.NET, etc.) in the game, greatly expanding the game's module development possibilities.

🛠️ How to use

  • Copy the following files to the root directory of your Red Dead Redemption 2 game installation:
  • `ScriptHookRDRDotNet.asi`
  • `ScriptHookRDRNetAPI.dll`
  • `ScriptHookRDRDotNet.ini`
  • Place the script file (`.cs`, etc.) you want to run into the `/scripts/` folder in the game root directory.

📋 System Requirements

To use this plugin, you need to install the following components first:

  • **Alexander Blade's C++ ScriptHookRDR2** (basic runtime library)
  • **.NET Framework v4.6 or higher**
  • **Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 x64**

💻 Developer Guide

If you want to develop your own script, follow these steps:

  • Create a project that targets the **.NET Framework 4.6 or higher**.
  • Add a reference to `ScriptHookRDRNetAPI.dll` in the project.
  • Use the `RDR2` namespace in your code.
  • Refer to the **`ExampleScript.cs`** file that comes with the project as an example.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
