Scope and Reticle Upgrades
🎯 Module function
A useful and immersion-enhancing gadget mod designed to improve functionality related to weapon scopes and crosshairs.
The module provides 3 customizable functions (can be switched on or off according to personal preference):
- 🔧 By interacting with the horse, you can switch weapon sights on and off without visiting the gunsmith
- ✨ Removed white dots on weapon sights
- 🎯 Remove the white dot of the ordinary crosshair, leaving only the outline white circle
📦 Installation instructions
- Copy WeaponScope.asi and WeaponScope.ini to the game's main folder
- If you want to completely remove the white dot of the weapon's crosshair (leaving only the outline circle), please also install the lml module
🔄 Switch scope
- The character needs to hold the weapon in the left hand and the right hand is free
- This state can be achieved by equipping a weapon, selecting a pistol in the weapon wheel, and then selecting a fist.
- A prompt will appear after locking your main horse
- Activate the prompt to turn the scope on and off
🎯 Remove the white dot of the crosshair
- Make sure the Reticle lml module is installed
- Enter Display → Crosshair Size → Select Small in the game menu
- ⚠️ Note: The side effect is that the white spots will disappear in Dead Eye mode. There is currently no fix.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
