📖 Weapon background (from online information)

**Ruyi Jingu Bang** (Ruyi Jingu Bang), referred to as "Golden Cudgel", is the elegant name of the magical weapon used by the monkey monkey Sun Wukong in the Ming Dynasty classic novel "Journey to the West".

• **Origin**: The Golden Cudgel first appeared in the third chapter of the original work. The Monkey King broke into the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea in search of the weapon. After trying out all the traditional magic weapons, the Dragon Queen suggested giving Sun Wukong a "useless" iron pillar from the Dragon Palace's treasury. This pillar has suddenly glowed recently, and it seems destined to belong to the Monkey King. The novel does not detail its forging process, but only mentions that it was originally a stator used by Dayu to measure the depth of floods in the world.
• **Magic Features**:
• The body of the rod was originally a black iron pillar, two feet high and as thick as a barrel. When Sun Wukong thought it was too big and inconvenient, it shrank in response.
• There is a gold hoop at each end of the stick body, with the words "Ruyi golden hoop stick weighing 13,500 kilograms" engraved in the middle.
• This stick can be freely changed in size according to the owner's wishes, can be transformed into multiple bodies, and weighs 13,500 kilograms (approximately 7,960 kilograms).
• When not in use, Sun Wukong will shrink it to the size of an embroidery needle and hide it in his ear.

As a classic cultural symbol, the Ruyi Golden Cudgel has had a profound impact on later generations of popular culture:

• **"Dragon Ball"**: The weapon "Nyoi Bo/Power Pole" of the protagonist Sun Wukong (whose prototype is Sun Wukong) is derived from this, and it also has the ability to stretch freely.
• **"Naruto"**: The psychic beast monkey demon can transform into a Vajra stick that can clone itself and change size.
• **"War Frame"**: The battle armor "Wukong" in the game can use stick weapons of varying lengths and thicknesses, and has clone and cloud-riding skills.
• **DC Comics**: The legendary magical fighting stick of the superhero "Monkey Prince".
• **"Fortnite"**: Appears as a collection tool in the "Wukong" set.
