🐎Module introduction

Hello everyone! This is a project I've been developing since even before the Lipizzaners idea came about. Well-known modder Bolju previously created a foal add-on, and I tried it out and found out that I loved having my own foal because Rockstar forgot to include foals in the Red Dead world and my mare couldn't get pregnant.

So I thought: why not create something similar but more diverse? Bolju's foals are undoubtedly cute, but they only come in 2 coat colors... while there are tons of recolored and remastered versions of the adult horses.

We need more! This mod slightly fills that need. I recommend using it with the Dynamic Seasons mod for a more realistic experience, and if you can, with the Wild Horses mod if you want to take some cool photos.

🎨 Model Features

The model is based on the original Appaloosa horse on one hand, but with adjustments and some body changes to make it look more like a 2-3 month old foal than a newborn foal; on the other hand it is based on the Arabian Rockstar model. I also included colorful feathered varieties for those who like draft and heavy horses.

I've brought you over 20 foal coat colors, some of which are smaller versions of the adult horses you'll find somewhere on the game map. With this, you can play your horse the way you want! Of course, you can still summon them as trading mules, but remember they are large ponies. I mean, they are still horses and will behave like any other adult horse.

⚙️ Installation requirements

  • Lenny's Mod Loader
  • Alexander Blade Scripthook

-Asi Loader (dll version)

  • Rampage Trainer

📥 Installation steps

  • First install the required script mods above and select the correct version of each mod that corresponds to your version of the game
  • Enter the RDR2 game directory and create a new folder named LML
  • Create another folder called Stream inside the LML folder and place all YMT and YTD files here
  • Launch the game and if everything is fine you will see the loading bar and can finally summon your new horse via Rampage Trainer >> Spawner >> Peds >> Horses

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE

My Little Pony is designed to replace online horses, in which case the YMTs filename must be changed to whatever regular horse breed you wish to replace; otherwise you will not be able to keep or stabilize them as they will take up permanent and undeletable empty (invisible) space in your stable, or turn into regular Tennessee walking horses after restarting the game!

My suggestion is to pick a special horse that cannot be ridden by NPCs in the game, unless you want to see ridiculous people riding miniature horses. Such as the Crow Black Shire or the Mahogany Bay Tennessee Horse. **Try to avoid substituting Kentucky, Morgan, Tennessee, Warmblood, American Pinto, Tobiano, or Hungarian horses** as these are the breeds most commonly used by civilians and Pinkertons.

🐴 Recommended replacement horses

  • **a_c_horse_tennesseewalker_mahoganybay.ymt** - Use a pony to occupy the mahogany bay horse slot
  • **a_c_horse_shire_ravenblack.ymt** - if you didn’t sell it, or generate it with Rampage
  • **a_c_horse_mustang_tigerstripedbay.ymt** - Good choice, since this horse can only be obtained through a special mission from Arthur (actually exploited) or in the postscript
  • **a_c_horse_andalusian_perlino.ymt** - Only one roams around Roanoke Ridge Falls

🐛 Known issues

There are some small bugs in Little Pony, but they are not very obvious:

  • They float when Arthur puts/unsaddles them, but if you tug on them a little they stop floating
  • You cannot groom or feed them. This is (I guess) because the game doesn't consider them regular horses as they are much smaller than no …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
