Remove all false firearm brands and false ammunition brands
Real firearm name
🎯 Module function
This mod completely removes all false firearm brands and ammunition brand names in "Red Dead Redemption 2", bringing a more realistic weapon experience to the game!
✨ Main features
- **Real Gun Names**: Change the in-game names of all guns (including unique and worn versions) to their real names
- **Full illustrated book update**: Edited the description of each gun in the illustrated book
- **Ammo Brand Cleanup**: Replaced all fake ammo brand names with "_" so they no longer appear in the catalog
- **Gunsmith Page Optimization**: Edited the catalog page textures of all 23 Gunsmith firearms and removed the false firearm brand names on them
🎨Details
While some weapons will still have engravings when not customized, these engravings are inconspicuous. The illustrated pages for all guns clearly state that the default engraving is not added by the manufacturer.
Fake firearm brand names may also appear in some paintings, but thanks to this mod, they no longer represent actual firearm brands!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
