RDR2 - Settings Revert Fix OLD
Hello everyone, let me provide a solution XD
✨ Module function
This is a repair module for NVIDIA users that solves the problem of "Red Dead Redemption 2" graphics settings automatically returning to default values after restarting the game.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
- **MOD STATUS**: This mod is **no longer officially supported** but may still work on older versions of the game.
- **API Selection**: Based on my testing, in some cases settings may still be reset when using the DX12 API. **It is recommended to use the VULKAN API to apply custom configurations. **
- **VRAM Overlimit**: If your graphics settings exceed the VRAM limit, for safety reasons, you can set the `system.xml` file to **read-only**.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
