RDR1 Javier Short Mexican Cape
🎮 **Mod Introduction**
This mod gives the character **Javier** in Red Dead Redemption 2 a short Mexican cape inspired by Red Dead Redemption 1! It is a texture remake of the original cloak, incorporating texture resources from other excellent modules, aiming to restore a more classic and stylish look.
---
✨ Module Features
- **Classic Revival**: Javier’s iconic short cape from RDR1 is brought to the world of RDR2.
- **高质量纹理**:基于 Guicorleone 的“墨西哥披风”和 Reyes Rebel 的“哈维尔披风”模组的纹理制作,细节更丰富。
- **Easy Installation**: Just put the file into the specified folder and it will take effect.
---
📦 Installation instructions
- Download the module file.
- Copy the **YTD file** in the compressed package to the `lml/stream` folder in your game directory.
- Launch the game and enjoy Javier’s new look!
---
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
- According to the author's note, this texture can theoretically also be applied to player characters (as shown in the screenshot).
- **However**, this requires support from another mod called **"NPC Catalog"**, which is currently hidden by the original author.
- Therefore, unless you already own or can find the "NPC Catalog" mod, you **cannot use this cloak on a player character**.

🙏 Acknowledgments
Special thanks to **Guicorleone** and **Reyes Rebel** for providing the original texture assets, and Reyes Rebel for allowing this modified version to be published.
Hope you enjoy this little mod that adds some personality to Javier! 🤠
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
