(Well, in recent times, the classic MODs of these big guys have been lined up for the same update... I think this needs no introduction. The classic among the classics has been on the site for a long time, but the detailed introduction is posted below. If you already know it very well and are interested in trying the new version, just download it directly)

- Added an ini parameter to disable the "longer bleed" feature in missions

- Fixed a bug where the health of NPCs in carriages could not be set correctly
- Fixed a bug where the health of "Other Story NPCs" could not be set correctly

Overview
This mod attempts to make gunplay more varied, dynamic, and fun, and keep it that way throughout the game.
You will find that when an NPC has a leg injury and wants to run away, it will stumble, when a body part is injured, it will cover the wound, when it is seriously injured, it will squirm on the ground, when it is fatally injured, it will lie in a pool of its own blood and moan... until it reaches the end.
Important keys (for switching)
These are the standard keys, they can be modified via ini files (as is everything else this mod adds to the game):
F9 - Turn mod on/off (mod is enabled by default).
F8 - Turns "Kill Wounded Mode" on/off (disabled by default). This mod adds a feature called "Dying State" which causes NPCs to fall down when injured and remain alive for a period of time (until they bleed out). If "Kill Wounded Mode" is activated, NPCs will die instead of entering a "dying state".
F7 - Turns "Longer Bleed Mode" on/off (disabled by default). By default, this mod causes NPCs in a "dying state" to bleed to death for up to 25 seconds (this is only triggered when dealing with the first wave of enemies in order not to interfere with subsequent spawns of enemies during the mission). If "Longer Bleed Mode" is activated, NPCs will take longer to bleed (this will be more realistic, but can also be a hindrance in some missions so turn it on with caution).
F2 - Turns Friendly Fire on/off (disabled by default). "Friendly Fire" currently only works on the Van der Linde gang.
feature
Here's a quick overview of the most important features:
Firstly, almost all traits are probability-based, so they won't behave the same every time you encounter them - this should ensure more varied combat and make things more interesting than the original... at least that's the idea
Almost every feature can be enabled, disabled, or tweaked in the ini (more info further down the page), so this isn't just a mod, but one that enables you to create your own experience.
This mod only changes the behavior and attributes of human NPCs - animals or anything else will not be affected.
Light version:
NPCs will react to where they are shot (shots in the legs will make them stumble when trying to escape, shots in the hands will disarm them, shots in the torso will stagger them, etc.).
When an NPC's health drops below a certain threshold, they fall down and will not get back up. They then go through different stages of death, each with its own random behavior. Eventually the NPC will die from blood loss.
NPCs will sometimes (based on randomness) audibly react in desperate situations (panic, beg, curse, etc.).
There is a bleed feature, which causes NPCs to lose life after taking fatal damage. It's run on a …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
