🎯 Module introduction

This mod aims to maintain the style of the original enemies in the game, with minor modifications to equipment configuration and combat behavior by editing RDR2 files. The author enabled some weapon components not used by Rockstar that look exactly the same and added more weapon options for each faction.

⚔️ Faction equipment adjustment

**O'Driscoll Boys:**

  • Repeating rifles, shotguns and dual-wield revolvers

**Lemoyne Raiders:**

  • Repeating rifles, rifles, double-barreled shotguns and dual-wield weapons

**Murfree Brood:**

  • Lancaster Repeating Rifle, Double Barrel Shotgun and Sawed Off Shotgun

**Skinner Brothers:**

  • Repeating Rifles, Springfield Rifles, Double Barrel Shotguns, Repeating Shotguns, Bows and Dual Wield Weapons

**Del Lobo:**

  • Repeating rifles and dual-wield weapons

**Guards (Jameson and Cornwall):**

  • Repeating rifles, shotguns and dual-wield weapons

🎮 Design Concept

The author tries to maintain variety between ranged and melee weapons, making dual-wielding NPCs relatively "rare" - although that may not be the case in your save!

📦 Installation method

Drag and drop the files in the compressed package into your RDR2 root directory to complete the installation.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
