**Oguri Cap** (Japanese: オグリキャップ, March 27, 1985 – July 3, 2010) was a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and stallion, sired by Dancing Cap.

• **Legendary Status**: Oguri Cap was inducted into the Japan Jockey Club Hall of Fame in 1991. As a horse that moved from local events to the national stage, he was known as one of the "Heisei Three" along with Super Creek and Inari One and reignited Japan's horse racing craze.
• **"Idol Horse"**: He is so beloved by fans that he has earned the nickname **"Idol Horse"**. His appearance attracted a large number of spectators who came not just for betting on horses, and he was also one of the first racehorses to have a plush doll in his own image, a peripheral product that is now very common.
• **Far-reaching Impact**: Although he missed the registration deadline to participate in the 1988 Japan Classic Triple Crown (Satsutsuki Sho, Tokyo Yujun/Japan Derby, and Chrysanthemum Sho) because he started in local events, his continued winning performance aroused strong public outcry.
