NPC uses crosswalk at intersection (fixed in February 3rd update)
Disable the "Troll" behavior of NPCs running in front of you while mounted! Also removes the blocking radius that caused them to complain all the time!

Yes, this is a malicious act on purpose by the developer. NPCs will only attack the player character, not others, so it's not some "environmental" behavior. And it only happens in densely populated towns and cities (Saint Denis, Blackwater, etc.).
Smaller towns with dirt roads don't seem to have proper intersections, so it's still chaos there. Maybe Strawberry Town is an exception? But either way, that town is just a cluster. So it's hard to say.
Complaining less should work everywhere, and generally the people around you should be less neurotic when riding. This has nothing to do with the type of road. Although, they're still too jumpy when you ride right into them, it's a completely different behavior (aka "move or die").
Weird intersection location:
The tram lines around Saint-Denis seem to have less obvious "special" crossing areas. But once you get familiar with them, they are consistent!
Blackwater's main street has 5 extra intersections for no reason. Including one next to an actual crosswalk that they don't use. Then everywhere else it was very organized, even across the crosswalk at the same intersection. This is very strange.
Requirements: Lenny's Mod Loader, ScriptHook RDR2
Installation: Place the decompressed file “JustUseTheCrossAlready” into the /lml/ folder
Conflicting Mods: I don't know if any mods currently use this file as well! Please report any conflicting mods you find.
Author: Stumbled across this and thought I'd share it. By the way, the whole file looks super interesting, it's still only 90% hashed and I don't have time to bother with that mess anymore. But I'm pretty sure it also includes some NPC content that will intentionally turn towards you while riding a horse or driving a carriage/wagon. It's also on my list of "documents that may include forced walking in camp conditions". This is all still going on. So, if you have a few months to spare, enjoy it!

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
