Provides machine sighting function for sniper rifles
No mandatory scope
🎯 Module function
Do you love Carcano or rolling lock rifles, but hate being able to use them only as a sniper rifle and not as a regular rifle? There is already an option to switch scopes in the game though, and it works great on repeaters and rifles with scopes attached!
If you have this problem, then this mod is for you!
✨ Main features
- Provides mechanical sights for the Carcano rifle and two rolling lock rifles
- Can switch between scope and iron sights like other rifles
- Optional file allows complete removal of scopes in the weapon shop
🔧 Installation instructions
**Required:** Lenny's Mod Loader
- Copy the 'No Forced Scope' folder to the 'lml' folder
- Copy the 'No Scope Catalog' folder to the 'lml' folder
- Delete the optional folder after customizing your weapon
⚠️ Compatibility Notes
**Main file modification:** weapons.ymt file, will conflict with any module that modifies this file
**Optional file modification:** catalog_sp.ymt file, which will seriously conflict with modules such as NPC Catalog and Red Dead Offline
**Solution:**
- Fixed loading order by copying included mod.xml to lml folder when using Red Dead Offline
- If other mods modify the Catalog_sp.ymt file, edit the mods.xml file in the lml folder so that 'No Scope Catalog' is last in the loading order

**NOTE:** This mod is included in my weapon mods, please do not install both mods at the same time
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
