No bounty hunter hounds
🐕 Module Overview
Have you ever felt guilty that you had to kick or shoot a bounty hunter's bloodhounds when they attacked you?
With this mod, dog lovers never have to feel like monsters again!
By default, Blood Hounds will only spawn under certain circumstances, primarily when being hunted by a bounty hunter. Therefore, this mod edits the following files:
- `bountyhunter.meta`
- `cumberlandforest.meta`
- `scarlettmeadows.meta`
---
🔧 Compatibility Notes
Many modders (myself included) most likely use the following mods:
- LAW module
- Crime and Law Rebalance module
Patches for both mods can be found in the optional downloads tab.
If you use one of these mods, just replace the `bountyhunters.meta` file with my file.
**IMPORTANT NOTE**: The LAW mod will add police dog spawn points to most areas of the game map, not just bounty hunters. If you use this mod, there will still be police dogs chasing you, just not from bounty hunters.

⚙️ Custom settings
If you want to remove the police dog yourself, you can do so by setting the spawn value to 0:
```xml
PoliceDog
```
Open each .meta file with Notepad and search (ctrl+f) "Policedog". Once you find code similar to the one above, you can copy and paste this example at each instance.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
