🌟Mod Overview
Add an eerie depth to your Red Dead Redemption 2 experience! **Cult of the Ninth Bell** is a custom gang expansion mod that introduces a mysterious and fanatical doomsday cult to the Borderlands. From the shadows of Heartland to the swamps of Lemoyne, these riders bring darkness, ritual, and blood wherever they go.
⚠️ Compatibility Notes
This mod works with two of my other mods:
- Gang Outposts
- Downes Ranch O'driscoll overhaul
**PLEASE NOTE**: Installing all three mods at the same time may cause framerate drops and crashes on some computers, it is recommended to only install the ones you need.
🎮 Unique Features
**Unlike other mods, all gang members/cultists are interactive** (greet, provoke, etc.)
**Cult Victims**: When you start shooting cultists, innocent people in cages will be able to escape!
🔥 Main features
- **Custom Gang Factions**: Adds new cult-themed gangs to the game
- **Hostile Encounters**: The Ninth Bell Cult will engage you when provoked (aim, shoot, sometimes even just by being near them)
- **Generate at any time**: Compatible with trainer/module menu, supports manual generation or used for customized scenarios
- **Custom Gang Camps/Bases**: Add custom camps and bases for cults
- **Rescue Mission**: There are innocent people in cages in some cult bases. After starting shooting, they will teleport/escape from the cages.
- **Animal Elements**: The cult keeps animals in cages in some bases, which sometimes escape during combat
- **Cult Expansion**: After each update, the cult will slowly start to expand to other states
🛠️ Custom options
You can remove a hideout by deleting the corresponding xml file. For example, to remove Hannes Bethel's hideout, just delete the "BethelCultBase.xml" file.
🚀 Future update plan
- **More Small Cult Camps**: Plans to add small camps in Heartland, New Austin and Ambarino areas in V3 and V4
- **Cult Takeover**: More cult bases will be added in the V3 version to make Lemonn feel like it is being taken over by a cult

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
