Night Patrols
🌙 **Bringing the night shift mini-game from Red Dead Redemption 1 to Red Dead Redemption 2! **
---
🎮Mod Overview
Now you can conduct night (or day) patrols in every town (yes, every town)!
- 👀 **STAY ALERT**: Be on the lookout for crimes or any robberies.
- ⚖️ **Stop the Criminals**: Stop the criminals at any cost. However, **tying them** will result in more points, allowing players to make money faster.
**Tips**: The reason why it is called "Night Patrol" and it can be carried out even during the day is for simplicity and clarity, and it is inspired by the night shift mini-game of RDR1.
---
⚠️ Important Compatibility Notes
**If you are using the Armadillo Restoration Mod, the night patrol in the town of Armadillo will not work** (as the mod continuously removes script-generated NPCs).
---
📥 Installation Guide
- Open the downloaded `.rar` file.
- Drag and drop the `scripts` folder into your Red Dead Redemption 2 game root directory.
**Script environment installation (choose one of two):**
- **V1 version environment:**
- Install Script Hook RDR2.
- Install ScriptHookRDR2.Net.
- **V2 version environment:**
- Install Script Hook RDR2V2.
- Install ScriptHookRDR2DotNetV2.
---
🕹️ How to use
- **Start Job**: Go to any town and find the starting point called "Police Job" (a skull with a dollar sign).
- **Earn Points**: Collect three points to get a salary.
- **Criminal Killed** = 1 point
- **Bind criminal** = 2 points
**After receiving salary, points will be reset to 0. *
- **Get paid**: Collect your salary from the money box.
- **End work**: You can return to the starting point at any time and press the jump key to exit the activity.
---
**Have fun! ** 🎉
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
