About this mod Machine translation
Personally configured version of the popular module Ped Damage Overhaul, bringing a more satisfying bloody effect and gunplay experience!
Nico's bloody effects remastered version
🎯 Module introduction
This is a personal configuration version based on the well-known module **Ped Damage Overhaul** developed by HughJanus. I have optimized and adjusted the original module to make it perform even better!
⚡ Main functions
- **Longer Gunshot Reaction**: NPCs react to gunfire longer and more dramatically
- **A more brutal combat experience**: Combat becomes more bloody, interesting and immersive
- **euphoria module compatible**: Works perfectly with various euphoria physics modules
- **More realistic damage system**: Leg shots cause staggering, damage to arms and legs is reduced when wounded
🎮 Version selection
**Full Version**: Contains all feature adjustments
**Minimalist version**: only retains core functions, closer to the original game experience
📦 Installation instructions
- Unzip the downloaded zip file
- Drag and drop the `peddamageoverhaul.ini` file into the game directory (where rdr2.exe is located)
- Download the official Ped Damage Overhaul mod
- Place the .asi file into the game directory
🔗 Recommended combination
- It is strongly recommended to install your favorite euphoria physics module
- Recommended to use Whyem's BloodLust for extra gore effects
💡 Usage Tips
If you don't have the euphoria mod installed, be sure to download the 'No Euphoria Installed' version file

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
