Never autoload
🎮 **Version 0.9.1.2**
✨ Latest updates
- **COMPATIBILITY FIX**: Other mods that use the 'R' key should now work properly (provided you don't have a weapon equipped).
- **Optimize item usage**: Ensure that the mod does not interfere with the use of non-weapon items such as lasso, fishing rod, etc.
- **Improved HUD display**:
- Ammo counters are now hidden along with other HUD elements, such as during kill shots.
- When you are wanted, the ammo counter moves to the left to avoid overlapping with the wanted HUD element.
- *Note: This feature is still a work in progress and placement may not be perfect at different resolutions. If needed, .ini options can be added in the future for fine-tuning. *

🎯 Three core functions of the module
1. **Disable Death Eye auto-reload**
Weapons will not auto-reload when Dead Eye is activated.
💡 You can disable this feature in the `.ini` file.
2. **Disable automatic reloading when holstered weapon**
The weapon does not automatically reload when holstered or stored on horseback.
The mod remembers the five weapons of each type you have recently equipped (e.g. the last 5 revolvers) and keeps track of their ammo counts.
**⚠️Known issues:**
- When dual-wielding two identical weapons, one of them may auto-reload (the mod currently only tracks one of each weapon).
- Not compatible with LeMat revolvers.
3. **Disable automatic reloading when ammunition is exhausted**
This is the most complex part of the functionality, if you only want to use the first two features you can disable this individually in the `.ini` file.
**Important Note:**
- The ammo counter in the original version of the game will show the wrong number - this is a necessary trick to achieve "disable auto-reloading" and may not be fixed.
- To this end, I made a **custom ammunition counter**, but it can only display the ammunition currently in the firearm, not the total amount in the backpack (refer to the picture or video for the effect).
- You can disable my custom counter in `.ini`. But if you enable it, the vanilla ammo counter must be turned off in the game settings.
**⚠️ Other known issues: **
- Custom ammo counter position may vary depending on monitor resolution/scale, you can correct this manually in the `.ini` file.
- Single shot rifles will still autoload.
- Not fully compatible with Mauser pistols, LeMat revolvers, and John's Minotaur revolvers.
- When a certain type of ammunition is completely depleted, the last round may become lodged in the gun. Putting away and re-equipping the weapon resolves this issue.
- Not tested on special weapons, gang weapons or mod weapons.

🔧 Compatibility Notes
This mod disables the normal reload key (R key) when you equip a firearm. If other mods use the reload button, it only works when you are unarmed.
**Advice to modders:**
You can make your mod work when the reload button is disabled by using the following code:
`PAD::IS_DISABLED_CONTROL_JUST_RELEASED(0, key("INPUT_RELOAD"))`

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
