In real life, you don't steal a horse by mistake. Unfortunately, in Red Dead Redemption 2, you don't have a key to specify "Ride My Horse." Now you have it.

Once mounted on your horse, press the T key to set it as your primary horse (the key can be modified in the config file).

Thereafter, pressing the T key will only ride the horse (the E key will still retain its functionality in the original game).
