JM RDR1 Skin Tone & Texture
✨ **This module has stopped updating** - Due to platform policy reasons, the author decided not to update this module on this platform anymore
Module Features
This mod brings John Marston from "Red Dead Redemption 1" back to "Red Dead Redemption 2", bringing a new skin tone, scars and other details.
Skin Tone
- The skin tone is closer to the style of RDR1, replacing the orange tone that Rockstar set to make John match other NPCs and Arthur
- The skin tone from head to toe is completely uniform, and there will be no inconsistency in skin tone all over the body
Scar System
- All scars have been redesigned to perfectly fit the beard and facial contours
- Scar details are more natural and realistic
Gentleman Beard Variation
- Brand new gentleman's beard design is different from other mods
- Adopt a slightly messy rather than sharp style, server-tested and approved
Future plans
This mod will be remade in the future, waiting for Tor or other modders to launch a mod that overhauls John's beard model to better adapt to the scar system.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
