🎯 **Military Rifle Sound Module** - Brings a more realistic weapon sound experience to "Red Dead Redemption 2"!
✨ Features
🔊 Replaces the original sound effects of the Springfield Rifle with high-quality sounds designed specifically for military rifle mods
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE
The Military Rifle mod will change the Springfield's audio hash to Lancaster's and disable the Springfield's weapon wear system. If you are using the mod's weapons.ymt file, please follow these steps to fix it:
🔧 Installation Guide
**Step 1: Modify audio settings**
Open your weapons.ymt file with Notepad and find the following entry (line 67890 in the original module):
```xml
WEAPON_RIFLE_SPRINGFIELD
audio_item_rpt_lancaster
```
Replace `audio_item_rpt_lancaster` with `0x8F4D63C0`
After modification it should look like this:
```xml
WEAPON_RIFLE_SPRINGFIELD
0x8F4D63C0
```
**Step 2: Restore weapon wear effect (optional)**
The original mod disables Springfield's weapon wear system, if you would like to hear the sound effect when your weapon becomes dirty, continue with this step:
The following entries were found:
```xml
0x1C3E88F3
0x2D4D712E
```
Modify to:
```xml
0x6DEE7F82
0x1C3E88F3
0x2D4D712E
```

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
